Memory Square
A special area of the museum is the memorial ground that has a four-meter commemorative cross made of stone by sculptor Pyotr Gerasimov.
The following is written on each facet of its foundation:
In memory of the creators of Ò-34, designers, engineers, workers. They were the souls of the tank. They devoted the best years of their lives to it.
In memory of all tankmen – from soldier to Marshal. They breathed life into the iron body of Ò-34. They conquered the enemy.
In memory of those who were marching alongside Ò-34 – from infantrymen and repairmen to nurses. They were protecting the tank from the nazis. The tank was protecting them.
God rest the departed souls of those whose names Thou knew.

A bell loft made of structures that symbolize specific elements of the tank and its armaments is erected behind the cross.
The bell loft was conceived and designed by Engineer Stanislav Kukushkin, Senior Lieutenant of the Guards.
Erected with assistance from the Main Tank-Automotive Command of the RF Defense Ministry in 2006.
